My day to day job is as a PR-consultant, and according to the latest news in AoC Aquilonia will merge with Corinthia. This means that there will be alot of new, swedish players seeking a guild to join, and Nova Krepusko is the most viable choice as we are one of the largest swedish guilds in the game (if not the largest).
So right now we are discussing a PR-strategy to broaden our brand and recruit more people. It's gonna be fun to apply my proffesional knowledge into this game, although im sure it's gonna be very tricky :).

Why would players choose a swedish guild just because they are swedish? A guild with one nationality is a stupid idea in my opinion, mostly becuase when you play with a group of people, all from the same place, the chance that you will start getting mean to the rest of the players are larger then "normal". And yes, that is indeed a fact. Not saying it will happen to you, just pointing it out.
Anywho..
Aslong as you don't start bullshiting when you do yor PR, I'm happy. So many guilds claim to be friendly, good RPers, good PvEprogress. When in fact, they are inside Wing1 of BRC, have no RPers and are hostile to everything.

I was too hasty with my post it seems, wrote it "on the go" :).
There are of course tonnes of reasons why swedes should join Nova Krepusko. Being swedish, or being able to handle the swedish language, is more of a requirement than anything else.
- We are a very active guild with many players
- We are pretty good in PvE, 2-3 raids every week (T1 and T2)
- We had as of late a Battle Keep which now is gone :(, however we will get another one when the servers merge
- We are quite well organized in mass- and group PvP.
I don't agree on us being from the same place geographiclly increases the chance for us to become "bullies". NK has never gone on a meanstreak towards anyone but our enemies, where guilds such as SCUM and CMS did just that, and they were not from the same part of the world or spoke the same language.
But take C.L.A.N for example, which has had several lower leverl members who has been ganking and sending insults in thier own language to people in tells. That might make them seem like idiots. Well they are idiots and i really don't like em ;).
Finally, we do not accept people in the guild by default just because they are swedish :).
Ahh I see. Well... SCUM and CMS are well.. Bullies, evil crazy people who want the PvP brought to them, pretty much.
The reason why I said that people from the same place are more likely to get mean and start acting "childish" is becuase I've seen this sooooo many times. C.L.A.N, Band of the grey clover (yes, they are not all that nice), Targuen.
But I don't know really, if you have a leader who is not afraid of punishing his/hers members and is very good at keeping the rules uphold, you will probably be just fine. And no, I have never had any problems with Nove Krepusko's members. Just wanted to point it out, since you are growing, and when something grows in numbers, something bad is aught to come from it. :)
I should probably tell you who I am, "Anonym" isn't all that good. :)

I think one of the reasons for NK not going on this meanstreak or in other ways massing themselves in an evil, swedish way is because our members are quite mature. Our median age is somewhere around 25-27, if not higher.
But you're not in a guild right now Holt, right? You should consider joining us!

In my opinion our leaders do so. We have a strict gamepolicy and this policy is well comunicated and well understood in our guild. With a guild in this size there will always incedents. This is reported to our officers and its their duty to take care of it. I rally do think this is working. The important thing is the way our leaders handle the insidents.

True "Proud Nk Soldier" (bah, du ska inte va anonym här ju! :)), but i think we are that welded together and mature that our leaders/officers very rarley has to enforce some kind of punishment. I have never seen or heard of it anyway.
